Lewis Anthony Noble, 84, served his country in US Air Force, civil service, 36 years

Lewis Anthony Noble, of Seaford, died Sunday, May 17, 2015, at the age of 84.

He was born in Richmond and graduated from John Marshall High School. He initially worked for the C&O Railroad and then served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years and civil service for another 15 years. He was a fourth degree knight of Columbus life member and an active member in the Catholic chapel at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center in Yorktown.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, Jean DelPapa Noble, of Seaford; his two daughters, Nancy Noble, of Yorktown and Diane Deleo, of Denver; two grandchildren, Katherine Johnson and her husband, Matthew and Anthony Deleo, all of Denver; and one great-grandson, Eli Johnson.

A funeral liturgy will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the chapel of Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, with Father Jim Connolly officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015, at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Richmond.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to a charity of your choice.
