York needed three third-set tiebreakers to get past Poquoson 5-2 during the Conference 25 semifinals on Wednesday.
Poquoson prolonged the team match by winning a tough No. 4 singles match that was won 14-12 in the third-set tiebreaker, forcing the two teams to settle the match in doubles play.
York put the match away thanks to a gritty performance by the No. 3 doubles team, earning a third-set tiebreak win to secure the team victory.
The Falcons (11-2) will visit No.-1 seeded and undefeated Colonial Heights on Friday, to whom York lost a tough 5-4 contest to earlier this season.

Lafayette Falls to Undefeated Colonial Heights
Lafayette’s boys tennis team faced a tall task, visiting undefeated Colonial Heights in the Conference 25 semifinals.
Colonial Heights proved why it was the top seed in the tournament, defeating Lafayette 5-1 on Tuesday.
Lafayette’s lone win came in the No. 6 singles match where Jacob Eck took down David Kim 6-2, 6-2.
The Rams finish the season with a 6-7 record.
