Jamestown’s girls soccer team built a 2-0 first half lead and refused to look back, defeating Warhill 2-0 on the road Friday.

Warhill started the game in poor fashion as Victoria Hall drew a red card in the 10th minute for handling the ball illegally in the box.

The Eagles took advantage of the Lions playing a girl down.

Morgan Connell scored the first goal of the game for Jamestown, which was followed up by Shannon Fitzgerald finding the back of the net.

Jamestown (6-3-3) has won back-to-back games and will hope to continue its hot streak when the Eagles host Tabb at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the loss snaps a three-game win streak for Warhill (7-5). The Lions will look to rebound on the road against Lafayette at 7 p.m. Monday.
