Leah Tyson scored a pair of goals and added an assist to help lead Tabb to a 4-2 home win against Nansemond River on senior night.

Tyson started the scoring for Tabb 14 minutes into the game, finding the back of the net off an assist from Madalynn Grounds to put Tabb up 1-0.

Nansemond River answered less than a minute later, tying the game at 1-1.

Coming out of halftime tied at 1-1, Tyson once again helped put the Tigers out in front. Tyson drew a penalty kick four minutes into the second half, stepping to the penalty spot and burying the attempt to put Tabb up 2-1.

With 27 minutes left in the game, Natalie Stratton received a well-placed pass from Leah Tyson and slotted the ball past the Nansemond River. Five minutes later, Schuyler Jurewicz scored the final Tabb goal.

Tabb goalkeeper Taylor Carr had a big game, recording 10 saves in the win, which included shutting down a breakaway attempt in the first half that would have put Nansemond River in the lead.

The Tigers (8-2), who have won seven consecutive games, will travel to take on a rival Jamestown team at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
