Lafayette and Warhill split singles 3-3, putting extra drama on the three doubles matches. The Rams proved victorious, winning the No 1. and No. 3 doubles matches.

The Rams move to 5-6 on the season and will close the regular season at home against Woodside on Friday.

Meanwhile, Warhill closed the regular season on a three-game losing streak and will wait to learn its matchup in the Conference 25 tournament.

York Takes Down Smithfield

York’s boys tennis team handled Smithfield during a 6-3 road win Thursday.

York clinched the match victory, taking five of six singles matches before adding a doubles win for good measure.

The Falcons finished the regular season with a 9-2 record and will wait to see their opponent in the upcoming Conference 25 tournament.

Grafton Cruises Past Poquoson

The Grafton boys tennis team made quick work of Poquoson during Thursday’s regular season finale, taking down the Islanders 7-2 at home.

Outside of a defeat in the No. 1 singles and No. 3 doubles, Grafton rolled past Poquoson with little difficulty.

Grafton moves to 8-3 on the season and will play in the quarterfinals of the Conference 19 tournament, which will begin May 14.
