Linda Utley Mulligan, of Toano, died May 5, 2015, at the age of 52.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Mulligan.
Linda graduated from Virginia Tech in 1984 and marched with the Marching Virginians. She worked for the Department of Social Services as a policy program consultant.
Linda was a member of Walnut Hills Baptist Church where she enjoyed being in the choir. She also enjoyed motorcycling.
She is survived by her sons, Sean P. Mulligan and Colin J. Mulligan; her parents, Velma and Jimmy Utley, of Blackstone; mother-in-law, Olive C. Mulligan, of Williamsburg; and her siblings, Nancy P. Derrick (Bob), of Crewe, Diana L. Perkinson (Montie), of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Donald A. Perkinson (Linda), of Blackstone, Kathryn U. Green, of Dinwiddie and Jaye Utley, of Blackstone.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. A service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2015, at Walnut Hills Baptist Church, 1014 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to Walnut Hills Baptist Church-Relay for Life.
