Boys Soccer Roundup: Trott Scores Four Goals in First Game Since March

Playing in his first game since March 24, Reeves Trott returned from a leg injury in style, scoring four goals and recording an assist for Lafayette during Tuesday’s 8-1 rout of New Kent at home.

Trott scored the first two goals of the game, the first in the 10th minute and the second goal three minutes later to put Lafayette up 2-0.

Matt Beatty scored a goal and logged a pair of assists for Lafayette in the win.

Lafayette goalkeeper David Domalski turned away four shots before surrendering a goal. Denzel Speed, who usually plays in the center of the Lafayette defense, entered the net and recorded three saves toward the end of the game.

The Rams (7-3-2) will continue their season when they host Warhill at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Grafton Defeats Bruton

Adam King found the back of the net twice during Grafton’s 4-2 road win against Bruton on Tuesday.

Grafton’s (8-1-3) Dylan Lorio-MacNamara helped spur the offense, recording a goal and an assist in the win. His teammate Brandon Berube scored the other Grafton goal.

Bruton (5-7) got a first-half goal from Michael Wilson and a second-half goal from Juan Chinchilla.

Grafton will host Poquoson at 7 p.m. Monday, while Bruton will host Mathews at 7 p.m. Thursday.
