James City County is offering a free class later this month exploring topics germane to credit, loans, home inspections and how to pick the right home for first-time homebuyers.
The county periodically offers the classes, which are often required of first-time buyers by mortgage companies prior to loan approval.
Participants are required to attend two three hour sessions, set to run from 6 to 9 p.m. May 12 and 14.
The class is designed to benefit anyone purchasing a home or who is considering a purchase in the future, according to a news release from the county.
Space is limited in the class. Anyone who wants to participate should call 259-5340 by May 11. The class will be held in the community room of the Law Enforcement Center at 4600 Opportunity Way.
