The Virginia Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work on the Coleman Bridge on Sunday, resulting in single lane closures and potential delays.
VDOT crews will be on the bridge from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday to perform electrical and mechanical work on the bridge.
Northbound lanes will alternatively close throughout the day, and two 30-minute southbound lane closures are scheduled at 9 a.m. and noon to allow crews to reposition equipment.
Maritime traffic will also be affected, according to a news release.
In the event of rain, the work will be done May 10 at the same time.
