Coming off a 7-1 loss to Smithfield, Lafayette’s boys soccer team was hoping to rebound at home against Heritage on Friday night.

The Rams blew by the Hurricanes by a final of 7-0 behind a pair of goals from Tobi Yanez.

“We weren’t playing Lafayette soccer against Smithfield,” Lafayette¬†Coach Brian Sorrell. “We got back to that tonight.”

Matthew Beatty scored a goal and logged two assists for Lafayette in the win.

Lafayette will host New Kent at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Grafton boys soccer team took down Nansemond River 4-0 at home Friday.

With three games in the regular season remaining, the Clippers (7-1-3) will travel to take on Bruton at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
