Jasmine Bryant and Madalyn Grounds each scored a pair of goals to help Tabb’s girls soccer team blow out Bruton 8-0 on the road Tuesday.

Tabb, which has won five consecutive games, scored five first-half goals before adding three in the second half.

The Tigers (6-2) will hope to continue their win streak against King’s Fork at home Friday.

Conversely, Bruton (1-9) has now lost nine straight games –five without scoring a goal. The Panthers will hope to buck the trend on the road against Nandua on Thursday.

Warhill Defeats Grafton

The Warhill girls soccer team handed Grafton a 4-1 defeat on the road Tuesday.

Shaye Doherty scored a pair of goals for Warhill and added two assists. Doherty’s two assists came on a pair of Kirstyn Aldridge goals.

Grafton’s Jackie Armstrong scored the lone goal for the Clippers.

Warhill has now won four of its last five games and improves its record to 5-4 with the win. The Lions will travel to take on Colonial Heights at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Grafton drops to 6-4 on the season with the loss and will look to rebound on the road against Nansemond River on Thursday.
