After getting down 1-0, Warhill responded with three consecutive goals to defeat Grafton 3-1 at home Tuesday.

Patrick Garber got Grafton on the board in the 23rd minute, putting the Clippers up 1-0.

Grafton’s momentum did not last long as Warhill’s Connor Massaro responded with a goal of his own to knot the game up at one apiece.

Warhill’s Brennen Whaley sealed the win with two second-half goals coming in the 68th and 74th minutes.

The Lions (4-2-2) will enjoy some down time before hosting Jamestown on May 8. Grafton (4-2-3) will host Nansemond River at 7 p.m. Friday.

Jamestown Scores Five Consecutive Against Nansemond River

After trailing 2-0 to Nansemond River in the first half, Jamestown reeled off five consecutive goals to earn a 5-2 win at home Tuesday.

Jamestown’s freshman standout Antonio Gonzalez scored a pair of goals to help bring the Eagles back into the game.

The win marks Jamestown’s fifth straight win. The Eagles (7-1) will visit New Kent at 7 p.m. Monday.

Tabb Edges Bruton

Derek Cook scored a second-half goal to help lift Tabb to a narrow 1-0 victory over Bruton at home Tuesday.

Cook’s game-winning goal came off an Allen Blair assist.

The Tigers (3-3-2) will host Gloucester at 7 p.m. Thursday, while the Panthers (5-6) will look to snap a four-game losing streak as they take on Arcadia on the road Thursday.
