Drivers should expect single lane closures on the James River Bridge starting today.
Crews from the Virginia Department of Transportation will be on the scene performing bridge inspections in both directions until May 7, according to a news release. One lane will remain open at all times.
In addition, crews will be on the Coleman Bridge today repairing cameras used by VDOT. A single lane will be closed during the work, which will begin around 9 a.m. and end around 3 p.m.
Drivers should also expect three 15-minute traffic stops on the bridge in both directions between 10 a.m. and noon Thursday while crews grease the bridge gates.
