Anya Keurajian scored twice to help give Jamestown a 3-0 win against Lafayette at home Monday evening.

The Eagles started off fast, netting their first goal less than eight minutes into the game.

Morgan Connell delivered an on-point through ball to Keurajian, who dribbled the ball up the field and slotted it past Lafayette goalkeeper Megan Roberts to put the Eagles up 1-0 with 32:29 left in the first half.

With 17:47 left in the first half, the Eagles were inches away from going on top 2-0. A Jamestown (3-2-2) cross was deflected off the near-side post, rolling across the goal line before Roberts pushed it away.

A Lafayette (4-2) defender attempted to clear the ball, but it fell at the feet of a Jamestown attacker, who put the ball back on net. The ball clanked off the crossbar and rolled away to safety.

The Rams had a near-scoring opportunity as Hannah Potter curled a ball toward the upper-left corner of the net before it was grabbed by Jamestown keeper Juliette Sim.

"Hats off to Lafayette, they played us tough," Jamestown Coach Kevin Dawson said. "Lafayette put us under a lot of pressure."

After entering halftime with a 1-0 lead, Keurajian struck once again, this time with 27:53 left in the game.

In a similar fashion to her first goal, Keurajian received a well-placed through ball from Connell and slotted the ball past a diving Roberts to put Jamestown up 2-0.

With 14:27 remaining in the game, Connell bent a set piece from 25 yards out into the upper-left corner of the net. The ball tipped off Roberts' hands and deflected into the goal for the game's final goal.

"We actually work on hitting that ball into the side netting," Dawson said. "That's exactly where she put it. It was a nice, composed shot. It was a beautifully struck ball."

Jamestown will host Bruton at 7 p.m. Thursday, while Lafayette will hope to snap a two-game losing skid as the Rams travel to take on Poquoson at 7 p.m. Thursday.
