Leah Tyson scored a pair of goals to help Tabb (2-2) take down Lafayette 2-1 at home Thursday, handing the Rams their first loss of the season.

Izzy Solaroli and Natalie Stratton recorded assists for the Tigers.

Lafayette’s (4-1) Carson Pokorny scored within the first minute of the game off a Hannah Potter assist.

Tabb will travel to take on New Kent at 7 p.m. Monday, while Lafayette will hope to rebound at home 5:30 p.m. Monday against Jamestown.

York Plays to Draw With Poquoson

Michelle Shin and Sophie Pereira each scored headers off Madison Van Dyke corner kicks during York’s 2-2 tie against Poquoson on Thursday.

Both York coals were scored within the first 14 minutes of the first half.

After holding a 2-1 halftime lead, York gave up a late equalizing goal to Poquoson.

The Falcons move to 3-1-3 on the season and will visit Bruton at 7 p.m. Monday.

Jamestown Tops Smithfield

Morgan Connell and Anya Keurajian each scored a goal and added an assist to help Jamestown (2-2-2) cruise past Smithfield 3-1 on the road Thursday.

After Shannon Fitzgerald put Jamestown up 1-0 before halftime, Connell and Keurajian logged second-half goals to put the game out of reach.

Jamestown goalkeeper Juliette Sim was solid in the net, stopping nine shots and allowing one goal.

The Eagles will look to build on their two-game win streak when they take on Lafayette at Wanner Stadium at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Norfolk Academy Edges HRA

Catie Slater and Setta Brown each scored unassisted goals for Hampton Roads Academy (5-2) on Thursday.

Unfortunately, their goals were not enough to lift the Navigators to victory, losing 3-2 to Norfolk Academy.

Hampton Roads Academy will continue its season Friday as the Navigators host Norfolk Christian at 4:30 p.m.
