A store that sells Apple technology and is authorized by the iconic company to perform in-house repairs will open for business this summer along Main Street in New Town.

CapitolMac will be located at 5131 Main St., the former home of World of Wine. New Town represents the third location for the company, which also has storefronts in Richmond and Baltimore.

“We’re looking forward to bringing our Apple products and support to the area,” John Orozco, a partner at the store, said in a news release. “Our mission is to help customers fulfill their Apple needs in a personalized and timely manner. And at CapitolMac, no appointment is necessary.”

A spokesman for the company that handles the property said there is not a more precise time for when the store might open. He said the company signed the lease agreement in late March with landlord Developers Realty Corporation.

“New Town Shops on Main is extremely pleased that CapitolMac will be joining our great mix of retailers, restaurants and services,” said Kelly Voss, the director of property management for Developers Realty Corporation. “As an official Apple Specialist location, CapitolMac will be a destination for the seemingly infinite number of Apple fans who constantly seek the most advanced communications and cutting-edge digital tools available.”

The news release touted CapitolMac’s track record of winning awards like “Best of Richmond” and “Best of Baltimore” from publications including Richmond Magazine, City Paper and Style Weekly.

“Our stores put down local roots in the community,” Orozco said in the release. “And when you visit us, you walk a few feet, and you’re at our front door.”

Developers Realty Corporation is based in Connecticut and has property in seven states. Its local leasing agent is Drew Haynie with Cushman and Wakefield | Thalhimer.

“We believe CapitolMac will greatly augment the technology services available to the Williamsburg community and will fit right in to the personalized, neighborhood environment of New Town Shops on Main,” Haynie said in the release.
