Lucinda Madeleine Boyle died on Monday, March 30, 2015, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was 13.

She was born on Wednesday, April 11, 2001, in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Lucy was an 8th-grader at East Cooper Montessori Charter School who loved science, math and computer coding. She had recently been accepted into the Academic Magnet High School. Lucy was enthusiastic about everything she tried. She especially loved reading, designing computer games, pottery, knitting and crochet, writing stories and cooking. She was an active member of the Religious Education Program at the Unitarian Church in Charleston, South Carolina.

She is survived by her loving parents, Timothy and Deborah Boyle, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; one sister, Maura Boyle, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; grandparents, Sheila and Terry Meyers, of Williamsburg; her great-grandfather, Harold B. Meyers, of Williamsburg; and many loving friends and family.

A memorial service was held Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the Unitarian Church in Charleston, South Carolina with the Rev. Danny Reed officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in Lucy’s honor to Girls Who Code.
