Softball Roundup: Warhill Takes Down Tabb in Five Innings

A pair of home runs in the bottom of the first inning helped propel Warhill to an 11-0 rout of Tabb in five innings at home Tuesday.

Warhill’s (3-1) Hayley Schulz smacked a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning, which was followed up by a Colby Norris solo shot.

Keely Rochard allowed six hits over five scoreless innings for the Lions.

Warhill will host Grafton at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, while Tabb (2-2) will host Bruton at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Four-Run Fourth Inning Lifts Bruton Over Jamestown

A DaSha Hill triple in the bottom of the fourth inning helped propel Bruton to a 5-3 victory against Jamestown at home Tuesday.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Hannah Hogan and Kelcee Harrod each reached base on singles to start the inning for Bruton.

A bunt single loaded the bases before Caity Washam drove in a run on a single. Hill stepped to the plate and delivered a bases-clearing triple to put Bruton on top 4-2.

Both Jamestown and Bruton would add runs before the end of the game to put the final score at 5-3.

Bruton will play at 4 p.m. Thursday at Tabb, and Jamestown will travel to York for a 4:30 p.m. Thursday contest.
