Williamsburg Christian Academy’s girls and boys basketball teams, ranked No. 1 and No. 3 respectively in the latest Independent Schools state poll, remain the only two unbeaten squads in Metro Conference play as we approach the final three weeks of the regular season.

WCA’s girls (21-2, 7-0 Metro) held on to their No. 1 ranking in the VIS Division 2 state poll despite suffering its second loss in five games last week after starting the season 18-0. Balance has been key for the Eagles as four players – Stephanie Seaman (16.5), Tonika Pierce (12.5), Charnissa Chillers (11.3) and Aquazia Jones (9.5) – all rank in the top 10 in the conference in points per game.

The Eagles’ boys team (15-5, 8-0 Metro Conference), led by Mark Seaman at 17.2 points per game and Xavier Green at just under 14 ppg, have been ranked No. 3 in Division 3 in each of the first three state polls of the season.
