Williamsburg Police Investigate Robbery at Apartment Complex Laundry Room

Williamsburg Police are investigating after a man robbed a person in the laundry room of the Village of Woodshire Apartment complex on Merrimac Trail on Tuesday. Nobody was hurt in the robbery.

A news release from Maj. Greg Riley of the Williamsburg Police Department said the suspect shoved the victim in the laundry room and took an undisclosed amount of money. He then fled to the rear of the apartment complex. Williamsburg Police are currently searching for him with the help of Virginia State Police.

Police responded to a call at about 1:38 p.m. The news release described the suspect as a black male, who is approximately 6-feet-tall  and wearing a white sleeveless T-shirt, dark jeans and a black rag on his head.

    The perp stole the victims gun and put it to his head as the victim was already injured..

    There seems to be no mention of what type of weapon was used while yet another innocent victim was allegedly accosted and robbed

    Are we to assume there is another perpetrator running loose in the area whose weapon of choice seems simply to be bully-tactics and spiteful actions

    Perhaps some clarity could be provided as more details become known – thank you for keeping us informed about whats actually going on
